Mount Stewart Inspired Collection

My ‘Mount Stewart inspired Collection’ is based on the flora, fauna and unique formal gardens found in the Mount Stewart estate, a breathtaking micro climate situated on Ards Peninsula, County Down. It’s one of my favourite places on earth, and 2021 led us to get a family pass so now we can visit to our heart's content. The set consists of the following pieces…

Swan - two elegant swans grace the gateposts on the entrance to the magical formal gardens

Mermaid - the pretty ‘Mermaid of Mahee’ stone sculpture an be found on the ‘Dodo Terrace’, partly hidden behind some shrubbery

Harp - a huge dramatic harp shaped hedge topiary in the ‘Shamrock Garden’, the ‘Mermaid of Mahee’ sculpture also holds a handsome harp

Rabbit - two little rabbit sculptures flank Noah’s Arc on the ‘Dodo Terrace’

Shamrock - represents the ‘Shamrock Garden’ with it’s perimeter shaped in the form of a shamrock leaf

Bell + Shell - both are found on the surround of the adorable bronze statue fountain in the centre of the ‘Mairi Garden’, based on the nursery rhyme ‘Mary Mary Quite Contrary..’, it is super cute

Stag - the ‘White Stag’ statue can be found out in the open by the lake, it relates to Lady Londonderry's interest in Celtic myths

Oak leaf - there are many old oak trees on the woodland walk, it’s also the motif of the National Trust organisation that care for the locality

Wellington Boot - for gardening and exploring of course!

Teacup - for cosy teahouse found inside the Georgian mansion
