DIY Bauble Ideas

Another little Christmas tip as a follow from last week’s budget supermarket baubles. Something a bit more glamorous and elegant, easy on the purse strings too if you happen to have some rattling around in the attic - yes vintage/antique chandelier crystals! Nanna (Lynne) Larmour has been doing this for years - hanging odd chandelier crystals on the Christmas tree for an E electric mix, but we have added our own twist going one step further with an #irishlinen bow. This makes it unique and personal to me. Why don’t you try the same by adding scrap fabric, perhaps a piece of denim if that’s your vibe. If you’re lucky enough (or unlucky) like me you might have a broken chandelier or hand-me-down bits and bobs rattling about in the attic, otherwise, a good place to hunt is @on_the_square_emporium_ , Belfast, for some treasure. As usual I like the rough raw frayed edge, tying in with my signature bow cushion (this is also a suitable finish if you don’t have much time on your hands). It ties (excuse the pun) in nicely with my luxury embroidered shell and also the baubles I replaced the synthetic ribbons on from last week’s idea. Finish off with a snip of jute string for a natural, rustic detail. Katie XO
